Project meeting in November 2011

Project working group met in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, 17 November 2011, to discuss practical and administrative issues concerning further implementation of the project plan.  

A one-day meeting was attended by both the Russian and the Swedish teams. The meeting was devoted to identification and specification of the main tasks remaining under each of the planned project activities, and the steps needed to perform these tasks in the most efficient way.

One of the issues discussed was the importance of the reliability of the GAINS model input data. A new set of input data at the level of federal districts is currently under development. A mini-workshop on national activity data transformation into the GAINS format and related energy balance adjustments was conducted during the meeting.
